The first session of the 2025-2026 Chairs on Hungary, its culture, language, and people focused on the Hungarian language. Held at Casa VEHU with full attendance, it offered a space to discuss, learn, and appreciate the Hungarian language and culture.

We celebrate the new Nobel laureates, László Krasznahorkai and María Corina Machado, inspiring the Venezuelan-Hungarian community. These achievements reinforce integration, cultural dialogue, and shared identity between Venezuela and Hungary.

The Venezuelan community in Hungary gathered with joy for a thanksgiving Mass celebrating the canonization of Dr. José Gregorio Hernández and Mother Carmen Rendiles, in a ceremony filled with faith, music, and unity in Budapest.

On October 23, 1956, Hungary rose for freedom. With the return of democracy in 1958, Venezuela welcomed refugees. Today, memory unites our histories.

Join MCHB for a thanksgiving Mass on October 25 at 6 p.m. at Budapesti Kapucinus Templom, celebrating the canonization of Venezuela’s first saints.

Casa VEHU hosted historian András Ákos Farkas for a talk on the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, exploring the shared values of democracy, history, and solidarity between Hungary and Venezuela.
