Civil Association "Venezuelans in Hungary" [VEHU]
We are a non-profit organization founded with the purpose of strengthening the Venezuelan community in Hungary and promoting cultural exchange between both nations. Since 2017, we have worked to support Venezuelans in their integration process, preserve our traditions, and spread the cultural richness of Venezuela in Hungary.

To promote unity and the well-being of the Venezuelan community in Hungary through social, cultural, educational, and mutual support initiatives, creating a strong bridge between Venezuela and Hungary.

The Structure of VEHU
To ensure efficient, transparent, and democratic functioning, VEHU is organized into several governing bodies and areas of work, each with specific functions for the fulfillment of the statutes and objectives.
Governing Bodies
General Assembly
The highest governing body and composed of all members of the association. Its main function is to approve the statutes and their modifications, elect the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Council, as well as define the annual budget and the general strategies of the organization.

Board of Directors
It is the executive body responsible for the daily management of the association. It is composed of the President, who legally represents VEHU and leads its strategic direction; the Vice President, who supports the President and assumes his duties when necessary; the Treasurer, responsible for managing financial resources and presenting economic reports; the Secretary, responsible for maintaining administrative records and coordinating internal documentation; and the Operational Directors, who manage the different areas of work of the association.

Supervisory Council
Acts as a control body, supervising the management of the Board of Directors. Its work is to evaluate the administrative and financial transparency of VEHU, carry out internal audits, and issue recommendations to ensure the fulfillment of the organization’s objectives.


























Work Areas and Committees
In addition to these governing bodies, VEHU is structured into different work areas that address the needs of the Venezuelan community in Hungary.
Social Area
Provides support to the Venezuelan community, with commissions focused on assistance, integration, social education, and health.
Recreation Area
Organizes sports events, excursions, and leisure activities for the Venezuelan community in Hungary.
Civic Area
Encourages the active participation of Venezuelans in Hungarian society and works on personal and professional development, academic training, promotion of values, and the defense of human rights.
Cultural Area
Promotes Venezuelan culture and exchange with Hungary through various commissions dedicated to folklore, art, music, literature, and theatre.
