On Saturday, September 27, 2025, the Venezuelan Association in Hungary (VEHU) enthusiastically took part in the “Szomszédom az egész világ” (My Neighbor is the Whole World) community gathering, organized by the Municipality of District XII in Budapest.

Our Association engaged directly with 50 children and their families through games and interactive talks that introduced Venezuelan culture, history, biodiversity, and the life of the Venezuelan community living in Hungary. The VEHU stand was one of the most visited, attracting attendees who showed great interest in our 2026 program and possible future community activities.

A special highlight came from two members of our community, Carolina Biró (@biroscakesbudapest) and María Alexandra Jiménez (@LatinSweett), who shared traditional Venezuelan desserts – quesillos and palmeritas – delighting visitors with authentic flavors.

This community gathering highlighted the power of culture as a bridge between communities and marked another step forward in VEHU’s integration and collaboration in Hungary.

VEHU reaffirms its commitment to maintaining, cultivating, and strengthening our relationship with the Municipality of District XII and the local community, convinced that together we can continue building spaces of understanding, friendship, and mutual cultural enrichment.
