Leanna Finol: Venezuelan talent on Broadway Abroad

At VEHU, we are proud to celebrate the achievements of the members of our community. Today, we would like to highlight Leanna Finol, a Venezuelan artist and distinguished member of the Venezuelan community in Hungary, who recently completed her acting studies in New York and is now continuing to build an international artistic career.

Leanna is currently part of the cast of Broadway Abroad, a production directed by Lucie Tassel with musical direction by Kent Dennis, bringing together performers from around the world to revisit Broadway classics in their native languages.

The show features songs in French, Japanese, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Hungarian and Hebrew, creating a truly multicultural celebration of music and theatre.

For our community, it is especially meaningful to see a Venezuelan artist taking her talent to international stages and representing, through her work and dedication, the diversity and cultural richness of our diaspora.

Leanna's artistic journey has also unfolded during a particularly difficult time for Venezuela. Following the earthquakes of June 24, she took part in the creation of “Volveremos a ser grandes”, a song she wrote as an expression of hope and love for Venezuela.

The song features lyrics and composition by Leanna Finol, production and engineering by Sebastian Natal, vocals by Leanna and Sebastian, and acoustic guitar by David Lechuga.
